Volunteer

As of mid-2010, the Garden has initiated a volunteer program for people who wish to make occasional contributions of time to the Garden. The Garden is developing a list of volunteer opportunities, so if you have a few hours per week to commit or the ability to help with the occasional weekend event, we're interested in hearing from you!

Becoming a Friend of the Garden

The Friends of the UBC Botanical Garden (FOGs) are a volunteer organization dedicated to assisting UBC Botanical Garden in maintaining its position as a valued member of the university community and strengthening its reputation nationally and internationally as a world class centre for plant research and education.

Becoming a Friend of the Garden requires a significant commitment of time and energy (at least 150 hours per year), but has additional benefits, such as weekly meetings with guest lecturers. For details on becoming a Friend of the Garden, please read: Membership in Friends of the Garden.
