Free Drop-In Tours

A great introduction to what you can see here at UBC Botanical Garden, all visitors are welcome to participate in a free (with paid admission) guided tour that gives a general overview of the Garden such as our Alpine, Native, and Physics gardens. Tours last approximately 60 minutes, and are held at 1pm on select days. For a calendar of tour dates please click here. Note: tours are of UBC Botancial Garden and leave from the gatehouse at the Garden's entrance. At this time we are not able to offer drop in tours of Nitobe Memorial Garden.

Group rates

We are pleased to offer groups of 10 or more a 10% discount off regular admission to the UBC Botanical Garden, Nitobe Memorial Garden and the Greenheart Canopy Walkway.

Non-profits and School groups of 10 or more qualify for a 15% discount off regular admission to the UBC Botanical Garden, Nitobe Memorial Garden and the Greenheart Canopy Walkway, but please note that proof of said affiliation will be required at time of entry. One complimentary adult chaperone is included for every 10 children in your group. Additional adult guests may join your group at the non-profit 15% off discounted rate. If you have participants with special needs that require additional chaperones, or are working within a specific budget please call us (604-822-4208) so that we can best accommodate your group. Garden and Canopy Walkway tours are included in your non-profit and school group rates and are based on the availability of our staff. Please call us if your school group is interested in a Garden or Canopy Walkway tour. Already discounted family rates, and our new UBC Attractions Passport excluded. Although children under 5 years of age do receive free entry into the Garden, groups that request a tour facilitated by our staff will be charged at the child rate for their visit to cover the administrative costs associated with offering this service to your group. Wedding Photographs - $250 plus admission (maximum 15 people). (Must be booked in advance)  

Garden Tours - Free + cost of entrance fees for each person. (Must be booked in advance)

Commercial and Media Photographs - All photos taken for commercial and media purposes must be approved by Katie Teed, Marketing & Communications Manager. Please allow adequate time for approval prior to your requested shoot date. Visit the media section of the website for more information and to fill out the appropriate shoot request form.
