From December 16, 2006 to January 14, 2007, Botany Photo of the Day is going to be featuring photo abstracts posted with little or no scientific commentary. If abstracts aren't to your taste, please consider revisiting the site in mid-January. – Daniel
Not sure which species or cultivar, as I couldn't find the label.

Should be able to identify it with a non-abstract photo
As you know from an earlier e-mail, I had some trepidation when you announced you were starting a series of abstact photos. As the series comes to an end, I must offer you a sincere 'Thanks' for providing a startling eye-opening. It has been a terrific experience. Keep up the excellent work.
