Apple Tree Identification
Hi All -
I just moved into my new house a couple of weeks ago, and there are three apple tree's on the property. The previous owners didn't know what types they were. They did say that one of them was good for baking. It also looks like the bugs have had their way with the tree's for a few months. (I am working at fixing this -- organiclly)
I have a few pictures of each, including thre Tree, some leaves and the fruit.
Tree #1
Tree #2
Tree #3
Any help is greatly appreciated. I want to learn more about them as I have no idea when I'm supposed to harvest them either.. I also have what looks like a non-producing Cherry Tree and a yellow plum tree thats quite large and producing a lot of fruit near by.
Thanks again!

Re: Apple Tree Identification
a good resource for ID is the apple festival at UBC, many experts present.

Re: Apple Tree Identification
Thanks, I'm hoping to make it to the Apple Festival this year. Would it be better to bring an apple from each tree?

Re: Apple Tree Identification
totally. the more evidence the easier to try to make a diagnosis.

Re: Apple Tree Identification
Yes, fruit varies on the tree, so bring several from each tree and pick from different areas on the tree.
