White residue on top of soil

Hi there,

I water my plants weekly with a Miracle Grow 4-7-2 fertilizer mixed in with my soft water, and all of them have a white crystally residue on top of the soil...any idea what it is and if it is harmful how to get rid of it?

Thanks
