Meyer Lemon and Blood Orange Trees

I have a well established Meyer Lemon and wish to plant a Blood Orange in the same yard. Will there be a problem with cross pollination?

 

Only succeeding generations are affected by cross pollination, so no.
However most Citrus comes true from seed due to Polyembryony.

 

Thanks! Though I am not too sure what Polyembryony means, as long as I don't end up with tart blood oranges, I'm happy.

 

You may end up with seedier fruit from an increase in pollination.

 

Does your meyer lemon have buds on it? I am looking to buy some for photography.

Not yet. Right now it is covered in lemons
