My squash vines still have lots of green leaves, and a fingernail pressed into the squash leaves a mark, so I think they are not yet ready to pick, but I fear that if I leave them out in the rain, they will turn moldy. If I pick them now, will they cure or ripen indoors?
They are Black Futsu, Galeux d'Eysines, Celebration and Festival.

    Hi,

Unfortunately for us (Vancouverites:)) we have to face rotting problems. I started collecting my gourds and squash just in the past couple of weeks. Some were ready, and some weren't passing the fingernail test. I placed them in a cool, dry spot outside and so far they still look great. Hope this helps.
