Can anyone help me indentify this berry? If more pics are needed I can get them. They are fruiting right now in Ohio. It's from a bush about 6-7 feet tall.

Lonicera sp. Frequently asked about. There are native species but also an abundance of invasive alien shrubby honeysuckles in eastern North America.

Thank you very much. Any idea on edibility for humans or what birds this might attract? Been told my whole life not to eat them, but nobody could tell me what they were.

Most honeysuckle species have human-poisonous fruit (including Lonicera japonica, as an example -- not sure if that is the one you have here, not enough features to identify it)

Here's a search for [GOOGLE]honeysuckle birds ohio[/GOOGLE] -- I've seen robins and waxwings eat the fruit in Manitoba, but the benefit to birds may be outweighed by whether your plant is an invasive one or not. More details on this in the search results.
