Identification: My plant is dying but I don't know what kind it is or why it's dying.

I got a pretty little green plant with pink spots on the leaves a few weeks ago, and for some reason, it's not doing so good. The edges of the leaves are turning brown and some leaves all together are dying and falling off. The whole plant is about half of what it was when I got it. I have no idea what kind it is, so I don't know what I can do to help it.

The most likely candidate would be Hypoestes. Does your plant look like the one in this link http://www.hort.wisc.edu/mastergarde.../hypoestes.htm
