Look at this scary fungus !

I have never seen anything like this.............does anyone know what variaty of fungus it is? :)

It's a species of Hericium or Lion's Mane Fungus. Most are edible when young and fresh (at least the ones around here are.)

Yes that looks kind of like a Lion's Mane. Lucky find!
