Ficus and another plant leaves are sticky

    Hi: my ficus, and another plant that I'm not sure what it is, have very sticky leaves. The plants are right next to one another, so, I guess if one got sick the other did too. And the leaves are turning yellow, and dying, and so on and so forth. Advice?

    Appears to be soft brown scale (best seen in the third picture). Infestation can be treated with insecticidal soap. Adult scale should be physically removed prior to treatment.
