Pony Tail palm

Indoor palm approx. 5' tall. Crown died, was wet - a rot type appearance. Is this disease? Recommended treatment.

Re: Pony Tail palm

Doesn't sound good, do you have any photos? May still sprout from the base, what is your watering regime?

Re: Pony Tail palm

It's pretty big in a very large pot. We water every 2-4 weeks. We had this plant as well as others installed in our atrium several years ago. We lost the top after a couple of years. The company where we bought the plants said it was not a water problem but can't remember what she said. I think she said it got a disease of some kind.

Re: Pony Tail palm

Watering shouldn't be a problem, really need a photo to advise...
