Identification: new plant, need name and care info

    here it is, it was a handout from church in reference to the palms from the bible, although i think the reference is a very long stretch from what was actually handed out.

    Definitely not a date palm, the fronds are different

    Looks like a simple Chamaedorea elegans...

    it is a CHamaedorea elegans ( parlor palm ). Make sure its only in medium indirect light, they cant handle direct light. They grow slowly too. In regards to the bible palm, they used a (Phoenix dactylifera fronds. I have also been told that the Phoenix canariensis may have been used. Or even the Phoenix reclina, they are all around the medditeranian sea ( with the exception of the Phoenix Canariensis).

    Even if you see pictures of the holy land or anywhere around the middle east, you will see pictures of the dactilifera.
