Recently I came across some of the best strawberries ive ever tasted I want to extract the seeds off the berry to plant another 3-4 bushes How would one go about taking the seeds off the berry in a way that keeps the seeds alive and how does one germinate strawberry? PS: Do they need a frost cycle once i have them off the berry?
Unless it is a wild strawberry, it won't come true from seed. You'd need to vegetatively propagate it from the plantlets / daughter plants formed along the runners.
from the same plant most where thumbnail size, 20% were half-thumb size Question is though, do strawberries need freeze cycle? And even if not true to parent, when do the berries start to grow? does the plant produce in the first year. etc? Guess i want to know the common characteristics of this plant
