I am having trouble locating where to post things.....anyway...does anyone have Paris polyphylla? If so how long does it take to come up? I ordered one from Wayside and got just a tuber which I planted about a month ago and nothing came up (this is the replacement by the way)...the first one planted in May never came up either.

Paris polyphylla usually stays underground the first year, sometimes even in the second year. It has to adapt to its new environment and has to build up energy so that it can flower. Paris is a plant/bulb for the patient gardener just like arisaemas. You cannot compare it to a tulip or narcissus.

A local perennial specialist nursery has them for sale "up." I imagine that would be difficult by mail order, but perhaps you have nearby specialists...
