Prunus besseyi as rootstock
Has anyone had a Prunus (plum, peach, cherry, etc.) on this rootstock (western sand cherry)? Arbor Day is using it as a dwarf rootstock for sweet and tart cherry, and I wondered about problems -- I know it's not used commercially for these. Potential concerns are suckering, poor anchorage, and short lifespan. Potential positives, however, are dwarfing and cold hardiness.
