Identification: help id please! :-)

    ok, this time I really want to succeed in keeping a plant alive.
    I just bought this plant, and I want to know what is it called,and read how to take care of it from the begining, and not wait until it's dying :-)

    ok I think it might be a thing called Dracaena (fountain plant)

    if that is it it needs a standard tropical compost of leaf mulch and sand (well drained) They should be kept out of hot sun but are happy in most household temps. which suit humans. keep moist but not wet and wash/wipe the leaves every so often. I have had one for years and mine seems to thrive on soil that dries out. I killed one years ago by over waterng.
