    Hi all,

As some of you may have noticed, the large indoor plants at the UBC Aquatic Centre, the fig trees on the pool deck in particular, are dying. When Athletics took over the pool, the first thing they cut was the plant watering service, and since then the plants haven't been the same. We've been watering them and attempting to keep them going as they were before, but we just can't get it right.

Is anyone able to please give me some information, or is anyone willing to come in and take a look at the plants and let us know what we should be doing? We're desperate to keep our beautiful plants and trees alive, but we just don't have the magic touch of the specialists who used to come around.

    Thank you very much!

    Sincerely,

    Kimberley

Kimberley, if there isnt a person from the school that is able to come out let me know, I would be game to have a look and offer my advice if you wish.

    Kimberley,

I'll take a stab at identifying the problem(s) sometime on Friday if that's convenient for you. Please reply to me in a private message. Thanks.

Has it been moved closer to a clorinated pool? They hate clorine

hmm, the fig trees on deck (the ones that have turned brown / yellow and dropped leaves) have always been in the same place, but chemicals have been used throughout this pool shutdown time (april 16th to may 11th) for painting/grouting/tiling/plumbing/cleaning and everything involved with that type of maintenance.
