Dead Leaves on Eucalyptus

    From previous posting in February 2007:

    Tree still looks dead - all leaves are now brown or have fallen off already. No sign of new leaves yet. Bark is peeling off too. However only a few twigs/small branches have fallen. How long do I wait before pronouncing this tree dead? (I hope I am wrong).

    Attached are recent pics. Any green you see in there is from other plants.

    Any advice.....really don't want to lose it.

    Cut it down now, but wait some weeks (months?) yet to see if it re-sprouts from the crown before grubbing it out.

    I agree. If it is going to make it it will re sprout. You might like to leave the longer branches so it still has height. I think tho it might have the virus a lot of them get over here. It certainly looks like that. That normally means dead.
