I have 2 small dwarf evergreens, I'm not certain the exact type. This summer I noticed spider webs on them all the time. Now they are starting to turn brown on the top and the needles are starting to fall off. Could this be spider mites and if so what could I do to help the tree? With winter coming will that help/hurt?

    Thanks for any information.....

Spider mites are very tiny creatures. Though they can be seen with naked eye, just as small brown spots, with magnifying glass, their details can be seen. They normally attack the foialge from underside. The infested part looks drained of Chlorophyll. They have very tiny webs, which collect dust. Hence the leaves look dusty.
