Identification: Can you identify this for me?

    This very neglected indoor plant has just flowered. Can anyone identify it for me? It has simple long fleshy leaves rounded at the tip, these are opposite each other. I think it is quite a common indoor plant. This has been on our kitchen windowsill for years barely surviving and has just produced this spectacular flower.

    Can you post a picture of the plant itself (rather than just the flower) just not quite so close up, so we can see how the whole plant grows?

    hmm canit be a type of Clivia ??.. the leaves look like it .. but i thought the flowers looked alil different unless there is different flowers that go with it ..
