polka dot plants

    I have heard that polka dot plants are some what short lived? but have also heard otherwise. what can I do to keep mine around as long as possible?

    Oddly enough, I just did away with one I bought a year or so ago. Worry not! I have cuttings from it living happily in my terrarium. It lived, but didn’t look very good in a pot by its self. Just regular care will keep it alive: regular food & water and lots of light. Pinch it back the new growth often to keep it bush. And you will probably like it more in a dish garden or terrarium; they look best in contrast to other foliage.
