    Good evening.

What are the best pruning methods:

    1. Height of lowest limbs
    2. Crown development

for Cercis Canadensis Forest Pansy and when is the best time to prune.

    Thanks.

height of lowest limb is up to you, the tree doesnt NEED to have its lower limbs managed by humans. if its road clearance there are usually bylaws. normally 13'6" is the lowest height for roadside tree limbs.

crown development, they tend to have crossing and rubbing limbs, prune for structure guidance.
timing is: thin in summer, prune in winter.
