Bamboo in Wisconsin?

    Is it possible to grow bamboo perrinnially in Wisconsin?

    I can't think of any that could withstand the winters, I'm afraid.

    Depends where in Wisconsin. You're not going to have a winter scene of evergreen bamboo but it will resprout every year to ~8' once it's established in zone 5. Try Phyllostachys aureosulcata, nuda, or bissettii. P. aureosulcata & bissettii die back in zone 5 Ontario every winter...I don't have experience with P. nuda but it has similar hardiness

    Thank you so much for the info...great advice...I'm definitely going to try it. An 8' growth is wonderful!
