A fairly well establshed eucalyptus tree which we planted about 4 years ago - It was about 8 ft tall then, has over the winter shed its leaves and gone a rather sad grey colour. The bark is peeling and doesn't look too healthy either.

Is it all over for this tree or is there anything I can do?

    i found this

Fairly frost resistant, plants survive temperatures down to at least -7°c in Australian gardens[77, 157]. This figure is not directly relatable to British gardens, however, because of our cooler summers and colder, wetter winters. It could be worthwhile giving this species a try in the milder areas of the country[K]. Some Provenances can tolerate temperatures down to about -5°C

So it sure looks like it was the cold that damaged/killed it.

You could try cutting it right back to a stump and see what happens, if it does nothing by July, I think dig it up and throw it away.

No leaves = dead unless trunk or lignotuber (crown swelling) still viable.
