hello Gardeners, does anyone of you have a rare form of boxwood in the garden? i have a large collection of boxwood , i'm looking for people interested to exchange plants. have a lot of other shrubs and a woodland plant collection. feel free to contact me by email. i have pictures too.
That one looks very similar to the ordinary Box (B. sempervirens) everywhere - the fine yellow leaf tip is something I see on most Box plants.
Cultivar name 'Notata' ('Gold Tip') has also been used for Buxus sempervirens exhibiting this characteristic.
hi , this boxwood has several synonym names , i only use the correct name which is registrated in the american boxwood society. notata = gold tip = latifolia maculata = rutundifolia aurea.... note that the enclosed lists are not correct , i don't have all the boxwood which are listed in the 'have-list' , but i do allready have buxus microphylla 'Kingsville Dwarf' , that's a good plant. wim
'Latifolia Maculata' is somewhat randomly splashed with yellow thoughout the upper leaves, quite different from what I would expect 'Notata' to look like.
