I have an indoor northfolk island pine that was in this empty house for 20 years and watered once a week. Since I moved in it did well for 1 year then the needles on the bottom branches started to brown, now whole branches are brown and I do not kow what is wrong, the tree is approximately 5' tall. Can some one help with what to do to keep it alve and well?

Annmichaels, Do you have high humidity in you house? Norfolk Island pines need high humidity to grow well, try pruning the dead branch off and then mist your pine one or twice a week and check on it to see if it improves and then let me know of it's progress. I too have a couple of Norfolk Island pines one that I had for 3 years and the other recently purchased this month. Dogseadepression
