Hello, my first post...secondly actually, but now sure where it went.

I think i may have been poisoned by my coworker's desk plant.

We were debating if it was a Shiso leaf (the edible herb-like leaf adornment found in japanese and maybe vietnamese cuisine. I took a piece of leaf and mash it in my mouth (tongue) I spat out most of it due to discomfort, and where it was resting on my tongue it immediately turned red. It's over 2 weeks later and the red splotch on my tongue has gotten larger and i'm exeriencing a host of other problems elsewhere in my body. Kidney maybe (drinking tons of water, nervousness and anxiety.)

I'm desperately hoping someone can help me identify so i can proceed further. I am in really bad shape right now and if you guys can help me with would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

It does appear to be Perilla however it may be an ornamental variety
not intended as food. It may have had pesticides sprayed or drenched
in the soil. Most likely you're simply allergic to it. In any event a doctors
    visit makes sense.
