I found a plant with red berries on our wooded lot in central Texas. Can anyone identify it and tell me if it's edible?
    Thank you!

Thanks so much for identifying my plant. When googling "pigeonberry," I found that they are not edible by humans. No wonder I felt a little funny after tasting a few of them. They tasted sweet.

Next time do refrain from sampling until identification is certain.

Good advice. I know it wasn't wise to try without identifying... just felt a little daring that day!
