Trying a little experiment in eastern North Carolina. I just received four miniature citrus trees, which I am going to attempt to grow in pots indoor fall through spring and outdoors during the summer.

    The four trees are:

Citrus Lime Tree -- Citrus aurantifolia

Citrus Orange Tree -- Citrus sinensis

Citrus Tangerine Tree -- Citrus reticulata or citrura tangerine

Citrus Lemon Tree --Citrus Limon "Improved Meyer"

Any suggestions about pot size or how I should arrange the plants transition from indoors to outdoors and vice versa?

I would prefer not to hear that this is a hopeless endeavor, but you know what they say, "the truth will set you free" or in this case will the "truth just cost me a fee."

Here's some pics for anyone curious about the progress.

Try the citrus section of these boards where you'll find all of the answers you ever wanted and then some.

As far as whether or not it's possible, it definitely is. I live in Pennnsylvania and have two citrus trees that summer outside and winter inside. Even people in Canada grow citrus. Check out the citrus section here, you'll love it.
