I bought a Calamondin Orange (Citrofortunella microcarpa) tree last weekend. It was very dry, and a few leaves were curled up a bit. I thought this was just from not having enough water and being root bound. I transplanted it to a larger container when I got home, and gave it some water. The leaves though are just getting worse, all curling up and are very dry.

    What does it need?? Help!

Interesting. I stumbled onto a list of citrus problems of which one was leaf drop. According to the author this happens when the plant is watered after the soil has been allowed to dry too much. Consistent watering was recommended.

I would consider pruning it back, giving it some bright light, and applying TLC. Reduce watering until the plant regains its vigor. I pruned mine back hard awhile ago after it had finished flowering and it's now putting on new growth.
