hello, 2 yrs ago we bought a house with an apple tree... there was just dirt under it. last year plants came up that look like pineapple leaves. they never flowered or changed. this year they're back... any idea as to what they are? medium green, long leaves like a pineapple-squished...want to make sure they're not dangerous. thanks! i dug it up and it looks like just roots, no bulbs or anything

Possible a nutsedge, although that has bulb-like bits scattered among the roots.
