    Hello,

I'm very new to the gardening scene. I have about 10 acres out back and I'm thinking about growing grapes. I live in Iowa. I was woundering if there was a book - short and to the point that could help me in deciding if this is the way to go. If any of you have any other suggestions I am willing to listen.

    Thank you

I like "The Grape Grower, A Guide to Organic Viticulture" by Lon Rombough. Even if you are not wishing to "go organic" it's full of other interesting stuff and advice. available at the author's website:
    http://www.bunchgrapes.com/publications.html
and probably the usual other book sources.

There's also the ISU Viticulture program; they have a large booklist. They would also be a good place to go for info and advice specific to your area.
