This plant came in a wildflower mix for the Pacific Northwest. It has spread like crazy. Any help with it's ID is appreciated. I have tried googling it's characteristics but have not been able to find it. It has several stems coming off of 1 just above the ground. The leaves have reddish spots about 1/3 of the way down the leaf. The stems are red up about 2/3 of the way then turn green. The leaves are alternate and about 3 to 6 inches long. The bloom is small pinkish seed like clusters at the tip of the stems. (see photos)

Persicaria sp. (syn. Polygonum sp., Persicaria maculosa perhaps). A very common weed that pops up everywhere. Polygonums are grown as ornamentals and might have been included in a wildflower mix. Some are quite showy. You will find this plant and relatives under Polygonum, Persicaria, Bistorta, and Fallopia.
