Texas Gulf Coast plant ID

    Does anyone know what this plant is? I saw it along the edge of a trail in sandy soil at Goose Island State Park in Texas.

    I think it may be Stemodia lanata.

    Looks like a good pic David. Lanta is certainly an appropriate moniker for this plant.
