Identification: Pony Tail Palm

    This plant looks like it might be a short ponytail palm, but there are actually 4 places with green foliage on the top, not just one. There are also a couple tiny sprouts in between the 4. This plant was purchased at Sams Club and was labeled a bonsai. Can anyone confirm it's identity so I don't kill it?

    Yup, beaucarnea recurvata; ponytail palm. I have a neighbour that has one over 6' from the soil up. Couldn't even begin to tell you how old that bloody thing is... They're fun. Not really palms, but another bizarre botanical contribution from madagascar...
