What is the ID pf this magnolia in the back yard of our B&B/home in Lebanon, Ore. House ID is modified Calif. style bungalow, story-and-a-half, ca. 1911-1912.
What is magnolia ID? Chinese magnolia?

Magnolia x soulangiana cultivar, maybe 'Lennei' or 'Rustica Rubra', many cultivars. Common names Saucer magnolia, Chinese magnolia.

Thanks for the info. This will go in my B&B history booklet.
Ellie also is good at catching the tennis balls I chuck down the driveway for her. On occasion, I chuck a ball in to the magnolia. They do not always fall through the leaves and branches.
Ellie has learned if she can jump up and grab a branch; sometimes she shakes the ball loose! She actually did this twice. But whenever balls get stuck, she tries her jump trick.
Really need a more accurate chucker operator.
