I have a Male and Female Kiwi. After the Male flowered and Female started growing fruit we cut the Male back a little. A few weeks later we have noticed another kiwi plant growing a few feet away. How does this happen? and do I have to wait several years to find out if it's Male or Female? If it's female I'd like to leave it where it is but if it's Male I'd like to dig it up and move it and start another Female with it in another area. Instead of waiting for it to flower isn't there away to tell buy the hair on the new stems? I thought I read this somewhere before.
