How many years does it take an Epiphyllum to bloom? I'm thinking of getting one and would like to know.

Speaking from experience, our plant is now 8 years old. We did not begin to see blooms until three, maybe four years ago. It now produces them regularly during the warm months but we only see them early in the morning since our species is Epiphyllum oxypetalum. That species blooms during the night. Depending on the species, your plant may respond differently. The blades of our plant now hang a full 6 feet.

3 years for me (from an unrooted cutting). Depends a bit on what clone you choose (and growing conditions, of course).
