Here we go! I have 7 flowers here from the same garden gone wild in Northern California. Any help identifying them would be appreciated. Oh -- the first picture is of a fruiting bush I found on the Greenbelt. It's all over the place, not just in that garden.

Also, some of the colors are a little bit off because it was so, so sunny out and my camera is not the best. I apologize if that causes any confusion.

038 (the fifth picture) looks like Scarlet Pimpernel - Anagalis arvensis
039 (the sixth picure) is a member of the Mallow family, Malvaceae; the smaller white flowers are common Chickweed.

Oh, thank you! I didn't realize the Chickweeds were in that photo, but now I even know what they're called.

#3 - probably, black medic, Medicago lupulina.
Under-developed, kind of struggling among other weeds.

Yay, I appreciate the help. I'm so excited to know all of these names. When I went outside today, I did my best to identify every flower whose name I knew.

Okay, I've done some research, and I think that #6 is Malva parviflora. Are there any objections?

Nope. I was able to get the family, but I'm in no way familiar with the species in California - if you've found it as M. parviflora, I'd bet that's what it is.

Thanks for the links and the advice! I had been pretty sure about the identification, but seeing all of those very similar mallow flowers just confused me. I didn't see any fruits yesterday, but I'll look when I get back out there, and I'll try to use the Jepson key.

#2 Erodium moschatum (no hairs on base of petals or bristles on tip of sepals)
#3 could also be Medicago polymorpha
#4 Vicia sativa or one its segregates

Thanks for the input! I'm kind of sad - I already memorized the other scientific names for #2 and 3. Ah, well. No one said that learning is easy!

Oh, thank you! It seems like the birds love those shrubs, so I'm glad to finally know what it's called.
