I am currently doing a research project on observing the native and invasive plants in the area. I just needed some help identifying some. I realize that it is fall and that some have withered already, but if you could give me a guess or an idea, I'd appreciate it. I think the 185531 is a green headed coneflower but is that correct?

Yes, something like a guess, because the pictures, sorry, in my opinion are not adequate enough for 100% sure identification. I would not relay on the identification based on the material you have provided to determine if you deal with native or invasive species. Sorry.

    Having said that,
    # 2 looks like something in the Carrot family Apiaceae, may be, as togata57 already said, Queen Ann's Lace.
    # 4 remainds me of Gaillardia.
    # 7 could be Timothy grass Phleum pratense.
    # 8 may be black-eyed Susan Rudbeckia hirta.

I will go out on a limb (or stem) and say that 1 looks Echinacea-esque.
