Hi. I live in southwestern Ontario, and have 5 hanging baskets in my backyard that receive direct sunlight till late in the afternoon. I usually plant petunias, but I'm getting tired of constantly deadheading them. What is the best flowering plant (spring to fall) that doesn't require deadheading, will trail down beautifully and have gorgeous flowers?
    Thanx!

Trailing annuals that you don't have to deadhead?

The only one I never have to deadhead is Lobularia maritima, or Alyssum. It won't trail down 20' but does cascade over the edges. Not "gorgeous" flowers, but pretty and reliable

If you don't mind a little deadheading, for full sun I'd recommend

    Calibrachoa
    Bacopa
    Lobelia erinus
These next 2 are vines, but they will trail if they have nothing to climb on.
    Thunbergia
    Lathyrus (Sweet Pea)

Whatever you do, don't plant Nasturtiums which I find are a magnet for every bug within 1000 miles.
