    Removing dead leaves will have no effect on energy in tree.

    Ron is rigth,the trees have reserve buds for similar events ..

    Thanks Alex And Ron, for the info. My 7 year old Ash tree is doing the same thing. As long as they put out reserve buds the tree will stay alive this year and have a chance at thriving next year, yes? South Western Wyoming is a hard place to grow trees. Only a few species can take the weather and wildlife beatings/eatings. ha ha
