Identification: Slimy material in your lawn / grass?

    Very likely Fuligo septica (article in link also mentions there is _nothing_ you can do about them - learn to enjoy these harmless beasties)

    Would love to find some on my lawn. Myxomycetes are indeed very fascinating.

    perhaps what you found was Mucilago crustacea ?
