Weed identification?

    This plant was growing in a friend's garden in the Nanaimo area of BC, zone 7. She initially thought it was a flower but has concluded it was a weed (that is, a plant she didn't want nor did she plant, particularly in that location).

    Any idea what it is? Sorry the pictures are not very high resolution but that was all that was available.

    Looks like Atriplex.

    My apologies for this late acknowledgement. I was waiting for my friend in Nanaimo to send me some pressed leaves, I wanted to photograph them with a new camera and in the middle of it all, we had a death in the family which took me away from responding to you.

    Yes, it does resemble, Atriplex. I am uploading photos of seeds and pressed leaves that my friend sent to me .. do you still think it is Atriplex?

    Yes, it is, Atriplex hortensis to be more precise.
