    Hi...

My tiger lilies bloom, but not as abundantly as I think they should - and I'm wondering if they should be split from time to time and relocated in the garden. Any tips?

    Thanks,
    Annie

I've heard that most lilies benefit from being split every few years. However, I rarely get around to splitting mine and find that the ones that I have in full sun bloom abundantly whereas the ones in partial shade have sparse blooms. I have split some daylilies in the early spring with good success... the new transplants flowered the same summer.

    Thanks, Shelli,

Mine are in partial shade and were there 10 years ago when we bought the house. Next spring, I think I'll follow your advice and split them, putting some in a sunnier location.
