I have an Orange plant and a Lemon plant. Every now and then the leaves get brown stains on them, go limp then drop off. New leaves grow in their place but eventually they drop off too. What im left with is a stem basically. I water them everyday with tapwater, they get plenty of light by the window in my living room. I repotted them only a few weeks ago so the compost is fine.

    Any advice?

If you planted them by seeds then maybe they're just too weak

I'm no expert but do they need watering every day?

Also tap water, do you get it from the city, or from a well. I water all my plants with spring water because Zeeland adds alot of chemicals to the water. Infact it almost killed a couple of my plants. If you get your water from a well then there shouldnt be anything wrong with it but tap usually meens city water. And going limp: do you meen like they go soft? If so then mabey too much water.

And its probably not the case, but leaves turning brown could meen burning from too much light.

Well good luck, I hope they start doing better

I would hazard a guess at an overwatering problem. So maybe cut down on that and see how they respond?
