Pruning: Invasive Rdwd roots

    To the hopefully helpful: I had to take down a 60 yr old rd'wd whose massive root system was cracking slabs,sewer lines, & undermining large piers supporting my cottage. If I sever the roots emerging from the remaining stump, will that stop their growth? If not, what will? Thank you; Carl

    Do redwoods re sprout?? I would have thought that was it and the rootsystem would slowly decay.

    Stumps resprout, not sure that roots do though.
