These photos were taken at the end of October in North Central Florida. The tree has heart-shaped leaves with a brown round nut-like fruit that is about one inch in diameter. So far I have not been able to identify this tree and would be grateful for help.

Callery Pear Pyrus calleryana. An invasive weed tree in your area.

Round leaves and 1" fruit not in bunches of many fruits makes me think this is P. pyrifolia.

Michael F, Thank you. Thanks for your expertise! I think I'll get rid of this tree and replace it with something better.

Ron B., Thank you for your expertise. I am glad to know that it is an Asian pear tree.

If it is P. pyrifolia but came up from seed the fruits may not be of orchard quality.
