So last year I bought a chocolate mint and it grew quite large as a outside potted plant. in Winter my mother put it under the porch with her other plants, unfortunately my mom left it near the side of porch, and due to the winter not snowing much etc, and my mom failing to water it, it died, but I brought it inside to nurse it back to health. Well Nursing it back to health was no problem, now i got a huge plant, but its oddly not a chocolate mint. The stems of the new mint is alot more weak and flimsy, not allowing it to keep vertically, and is all green in colour (chocolate mint is a redish brown stem), and the leaves are bigger and all green round leaves (chocolate mint leaves usually have a brown rim and a somewhat rigid edge). It looks and tastes like some mild mint cross breed with basil. With my decent length of use and seeing various mints and herbs (Used to be a Chef) it's odd I've never seen anything like it.
